Last week I managed to get away in Trigger for a five day spell up to a new area for me, East Lothian, south east Scotland. I wanted to explore the area around North Berwick, to shoot some stock images and in particular to try get onto a landing boat trip to Bass Rock. Unfortunately the Sea Bird Centre at North Berwick was not running landing trips but I was able to enjoy a fabulous boat trip to and around the amazing Bass Rock. This was a good test for my new 100-400 Canon L Mk2 lens. The boat was constantly moving as the swell was quite rough but the stabiliser did a tremendous job and has given me some lovely images of these beautiful sea birds. I'll now try for a landing trip as soon as they are up and running.
