I've had a busy couple of days this week working on a batch of new greeting card designs, plus updating several others with new images. Earlier this year I managed to squeeze in two wonderful trips the The Isle of Eigg. On both occasions I stayed at "The Bothy" Eigg Organics, Cleadale. The accommodation is rustic and surrounded by livestock, some rare breed, wildlife and most importantly blissfully quiet. Once on the island I work entirely on foot, leaving my car on the mainland at Mallaig. I love to work this way, and there are two magnificent beaches not too far away, both with uninterrupted views of the magnificent Isle of Rum. On both trips this year the weather was particularly challenging, as it often is in the far north west, but in between there were a few breaks with magic Hebridean light. I had a close encounter with an adult Otter on two occasions in the same place at Laig Bay which were simply priceless.
